The Little Fuzzies are up late, dressed in black clothing and trying their hand at being spies and cracking codes! What could they be up to? Do you have any idea? Help find the answer in Spy Fuzzies, a super-fun and imaginative sneaky piece for elementary pianists.
What Level is Spy Fuzzies?
Spy Fuzzies is written in D minor and has a jazzy sound. The smallest note value is the quarter note. The right hand thumb tucks under two times. Both hands play a few accidentals throughout, but all are notated (so they are not in the key signature.) The right hand also plays a cluster chord with fingers 2, 3, and 5. No pedaling is required. Fingering, phrasing, and articulation is indicated throughout. The largest interval is a fourth.
Bonus mp3 and QR Code for students
Spy Fuzzies includes a bonus mp3 of this performance with your purchase. You may send this mp3 to your student to help them learn the piece and remember how it sounds.
Plus, a QR code is included on the first page of the PDF (not pictured in the sample) so students can scan the code and it will take them directly to the performance recording of the piece. This can help them be inspired and learn the piece even more effectively without you having to send the mp3 to them!

Kelly Jenkins –
Spy Fuzzies is a sure fire win: dramatic, enticing and very playable. My Fuzzy fans were so excited for new Fuzzy songs this fall, and I love watching how they are eager to try the two hand coordination in this song because they WANT to be able to play it. Love the James Bond/spy sound, especially in the ending.
Liana Pace –
Such a fun addition to the Fuzzies series! My students are really excited to play this new piece. I also really like the spy sounds in the ending.

My Elementary students love this piece. It is simple but it sounds exciting, so they practice it at home with joy 🙂

This piece has been an instant success in my studio. Students love to play it and I love that the LH rhythm stretches them a bit. As a bonus, it’s got a terrific front cover. What are those Fuzzies up to?!

My student loved learning this piece, and sings as she plays every time! The driving rhythm and catchy melody are sure to please many. More Late Elementary Spy Fuzzies, please!
