What Level is Fuzzy Migration?
Fuzzy Migration is elementary level and is composed mostly in a Middle C hand position. The meter is triple meter and the smallest note value is the quarter note. Perky staccatos followed by connected phrases make this both a fun sounding solo and a great teaching piece. Most of the notes move by steps and skips with one fourth included. There are a few places where the right hand changes hand position, but these finger movements are highlighted with circled finger numbers to highlight the change. All dynamics, articulations, and markings are notated in solid pedagogical ways, so this makes a great teaching piece or replacement piece for a method book solo that’s boring.
