What Level is Laundry Mishap?
Laundry Mishap is written in a modified Middle C position. A few sharps are notated in the piece (so no key signature). Students move their hands by one note a few times in the piece. Laundry Mishap is in triple meter and the smallest note value is the quarter note/rest. No pedaling is required. The largest interval is a fifth. The piece is carefully edited with pedagogical fingering and articulations, making this an excellent teaching piece. Go ahead and replace a boring method book piece with this one and see what happens!
