The Adventures of Little Fuzzies all started with one original Little Fuzzies piece. (Don’t forget to get that one as it’s not included in this bundle.) Piano students were so excited about the pieces and inspired to practice that they began pretending the Little Fuzzies were having other adventures in addition to the ones at the piano. Wendy was inspired by their creativity and began imagining the adventures herself – yielding a new set of fun teaching pieces!
All of these Adventures of Little Fuzzies pieces are excellent ways to teach sharps and can also prevent students from getting stuck in certain hand positions.

I recently purchased the Little Fuzzy Adventure pack https://composecreate.com/product/adventures-of-little-fuzzies/ , as well as the original. I made some fuzzies, too. This week I told my younger students that I was starting a Little Fuzzies “Club”–really just having them learn all the pieces this semester–like a very, very miniature 30/40 piece contest. Well, here is the story about one little girl who is a chronic non-practicer. I gave her the first piece Monday and her mom texted me within 24 hours telling me that she “hasn’t stopped practing the piece and she loves it.” I’m so excited!

I have a few students who are fans of the original “Little Fuzzies” piece. As soon as I told them that the Little Fuzzies had some adventures, they wanted to hear them right away! One student said, “This reminds me of Small Potatoes”. Who knew that there are some Small Potatoes in the world having as many adventures as Little Fuzzies! 🙂 Thanks for creating these pieces in a way that captures small minds who live in a world filled with screens.

I have one student playing the Fuzzies pieces, and he enjoys the lyrics and stories associated with music. He asks me for the next Fuzzies adventure piece, as though he’s creating a musical starring the Fuzzies!

This collection is a hit! I have several young students who already love the original Little Fuzzies song, and they were so excited to learn that there were not just one, but multiple new adventures that the fuzzies were going on! One 8 year old boy, the first week of playing “Kitchen Raiders” showed up at his next lesson with a whole collection of fuzzies watching him play the song! He loved it!

My students have been loving these! Little Fuzzies songs are so fun and mischevious. I teach them with a combination of rote and reading. The repeating patterns in each piece make them quick to learn and memorize. Students really enjoy having fun pieces they can play anytime from memory.

Fun songs, easy to play for beginners and the words bring excitement to the student’s eyes. Beginning students get such a feeling of satisfaction playing these piece. I have used them again and again.

One of my students made up this story about the Little Fuzzies!
Once upon a time, there were two Fuzzies named Jack and Sullivan. One day they were playin’ around and decided to raid the kitchen. Then Jack and Sullivan went on a vacation to the Bahamas. They got dirty on the airplane, so they had to take a bubble bath in the hotel. They went surfing and were eaten by a shark. The End.

My students are enjoying the new adventures of Little Fuzzies! They love looking for the patterns they see in the music to make it easier to play.
Yvette –
These pieces are great as a partly rote approach and have really helped my students who have learning challenges and need additional support. The patterns are memorable, the students feel successful, and the cuteness is always a hit.

All my beginners of all ages absolutely love this series!

The Little Fuzzies bundle is a huge hit with my beginning students !! Naturally, I made multi-colored Fuzzies to place on the keyboard. Madness ensued !! Good madness, of course. They can’t get enough of their new musical friends !
The patterns are appealing but easy for the students to retain. Thanks again, Wendy !!!

I was starting a seven year old in Kitchen Raiders this afternoon. When we got to the line about warming up in the microwave, she nearly fell off the bench. This series is out standing. The littles find them hilarious. They are also great introductions to sharps, flats, ledger lines and intervalic reading. Music that is fun and educational, Yes it does exist!

I have 5 adults right now, a retired petroleum engineer, a retired diagnostic radiologist and they love love little fuzzies! My other adults are women who like Beautiful Places. Adults need to have fun!

I have started a “Little Fuzzies Club” in my studio for my youngest students. One is a beginner and the others have had lessons for 1-3 years. Members have a handbook where they put the Little Fuzzies stickers once they’ve completed a piece. Their pictures are on a bulletin board under the title “Little Fuzzies Club”. Because of their interest, I’ve purchased every Little Fuzzies piece that Wendy Stevens has composed. The music has repetitive patterns in most cases but there are challenges they wouldn’t have in beginning lesson books: hand positions that move around the keyboard, music symbols (sharps, flats, naturals), pedal usage, 1st and 2nd endings. Because the lyrics are so engaging and the Fuzzies have humorous adventures all around the house and at different times of the year, students love playing them. Their lesson book pieces have become “too easy” and I’ve been using them for sight reading activities. Having a fun piece to practice motivates my students to go to the piano willingly and share their music with others.

I just discovered the Little Fuzzy series and have started using them with my beginners. They are LOVING these songs! Such fun little songs that are really helping with keyboard geography and getting comfortable moving their hands around the keyboard.
