New Autumn and Halloween Music for 2022

New Autumn and Halloween Music

Halloween music is always such a treat to write (pun intended!). It’s goofy, creepy, and kids love playing Halloween pieces. But there are a lot of families who don’t celebrate Halloween – and they deserve some fun music to celebrate the change of seasons, too!

So this year, we have music for both Halloween and Autumn. There’s truly something for everyone (including teachers)!

Here’s a 5 minute video showing you all 5 pieces!

Autumn Music

These pieces capture the feel of crisp air, crunchy leaves, and a season that starts to lean towards rest and reminiscing.

New Autumn and Halloween Music

Autumn’s Coming

  • Late Elementary
  • Includes beautiful lyrics that remind us of the nostalgia and beauty of leaving summer behind to embrace all that Autumn offers.
  • The ending sounds like leaves coming down in swirls – Autumn finally arriving!
  • An emotional and mature piece, perfect for students who love to play expressively

Longing for Change

  • Mid to Late Intermediate
  • Teachers will love playing this piece (and it would make a lovely piece for teachers to play at a recital)
  • Beautiful piece full of the hopes and desires for a new season
  • Key and time changes throughout the piece communicate the changes we see and feel when passing from one season into another

Halloween Music

Here are our newest Halloween pieces, filled with fun lyrics, creepy harmonies, and covers that will immediately catch students’ attention!

Beady Eyes

  • Early Elementary
  • Fun, spooky lyrics that will have you and your students seeing things in your piano
  • Great practice for students who are still on the black keys to identify the groupings of 2 and 3 black keys more easily
  • Teacher duet included, but on a separate page so it’s not distracting to students

Trick or Treat Smell My Feet

  • Mid Elementary
  • Silly lyrics that kids will want to sing over and over
  • 3/4 time signature written in such a way that students won’t add an extra beat
  • Hand crossovers make students look and feel more mature

Beautifully Spooked

  • Late Elementary
  • Fans of “Pretty Creepy” will love this piece
  • Teens especially will be drawn to the mature sound (and beautiful cover!)
  • Not explicitly a Halloween piece, but has ethereal and eerie harmonies that hint towards the season
