Almost every year, I organize a Christmas Cover Art Contest for my students. The winner’s picture is put on the front of our holiday recital program and sometimes the 2nd place winner gets their picture on the inside of the program.
Help Me Decide on the Christmas Cover Art Winner!
This year, we have only 5 entries and I certainly cannot be a fair judge. So, will you help us out and vote for your favorite drawing? If you have a moment and want to write an encouraging comment to the students below, I know they would appreciate it and be very encouraged with your comments.

All of the art was beautiful – so hard to choose!
I love the bull in #2 older collection. I love the close up detail of everyone adoring Jesus. Great job!
What I liked most about Entry #1 in the younger division was the person or angel on the mountain top behind the manger. At first I thought it was a person “going and telling it on the mountain!” Then I wondered if it was a bright angel tell the shepherds nearby. Either way, wonderful!
What I liked about Entry #1 in the older division was that the shepherd truly looks like he is hurrying to see the baby Jesus! And I liked that the wise man is looking out to see the star that is far away. This picture ties everything together: wise men, shepherds, star, angel, and of course the baby Jesus.
Really, all the the entries did a great job of showing the true meaning of Christmas! They did a great job!
I agree with Amy concerning Entry #1, younger division. Such detail! And Entry #1 in the older division is lovely. I was struck by the drawing of the angel. This is a great idea! All of the pictures were art worthy, and all should be congratulated! Very talented students!
