Bring Rhythm Cup Explorations® to a Teacher Meeting – for Free!

When I was program chair of our local association, I was always on the lookout for meeting ideas that would be exciting and would inject energy into our membership. And I was especially excited if the program was easy!

So I’m thrilled to be able to tell you that you can now bring the excitement and energy of Rhythm Cup Explorations® to your music teachers meeting. Plus you can do it for free without paying me to come and do a workshop for you! All you have to do is download the materials that we’ve created just for teachers, get a few inexpensive supplies (see below) and viola….you have the easiest and most fun program idea you’ll have in years to come!

First, here’s where you can download the materials. Just enter your first name and email address and then enter. Within minutes, you’ll see an email from me pop in your inbox with a 1 page PDF download, and several of our mp3 tracks to use as well.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 

  Make prints of the 1 page handout I sent to you. You’ll want 1 page per attendee.
  [I promise you’ll want 1 page per attendee. Since this is a free handout, they’ll all want to go home and try it with their students.]
• Get some plastic cups.
  You can use hard plastic of course, but just be careful with the head bonk! Or a 16 oz disposable cup is just fine. You’ll need 1 per teacher that attends, but you might get a few extra in case they can’t sit in a circle or around a table and you have to have extras for the “pass” feature.
• Sign up for a free month of the streaming tracks.
  Then, you’ll be able to play music along with the samples that you’ll be cup tapping with teachers. You’ll want to bring a laptop with you to the event so you can get to the tracks easily. But make sure that you have speakers or an audio system you can connect to so everyone can hear.

That’s it! You just need 3 things and it won’t cost much at all.
