The Stinky Stockings (see below) was much more of a hit than even I had planned. So, I wanted to share with you even more options for using them this year.
4 Not So Stinky Ways to Use Stinky Stockings
The Traditional Stinky Stockings Hot Potato game. Grab an extra clean stocking or run to Target and get one on the dollar aisle and drag it through the mud (or have your kids wear it outside for a while) before using. Then, place your Stinky Stockings cards in the stocking and play this game the traditional way!- Choir Party Game. Leila Viss of 88pianokeys.com gave me this idea. She said she was going to use a select group of the cards for her choir party. Grab some candy canes or other small prizes and throw them to whomever gets the answer correct first. The Christmas riddles, name the tune, and singing challenges are fun even with adults.
- An Eggspert Game. Separate the cards into the 5-6 categories and put your Eggspert Quizzing System in the random mode. Assign the cards a color and whatever color comes up when you “spin” the eggspert, is the question the student must answer. You could line up 2 students (see the next Bell Challenge game) and whatever is spun is their question category.
- The Bell Challenge. Separate students into 2 teams and line them up behind a table with a little call bell between them. Have them stand behind the bell with their arms behind their backs. Read a question to them and whoever rings the bell and answers correctly gets to the keep the card. The student with the most card wins.
