Looking for a Hushed and Breathtaking Christmas Eve Piece?

Everyone who knows the piece “In the Bleak Mid-winter” talks about it’s fragile beauty. That’s exactly the effect I tried to produce in this arrangement in the All is Calm, All is Bright book and CD:

Performed live, it’s breathtaking and it’s actually one of the easier songs in the book! Perfect for a Christmas eve service. The Silent Night arrangement is also quite the audience quieter. It’s use of the extreme ranges of the keyboard really light up the harmonics and give listeners an ethereal feeling as they contemplate what that silent night must have been about.

I’ve sold out of all the All is Calm books from the ComposeCreate store (where you can hear more samples), but you can order them directly from the Augsburg Fortress publisher.  Thanks so much for your interest and thanks for listening!

  1. Is there a way to get this piece or, better yet, the book? The link turns up no results and I can’t seem to find it on the Augsburg site, either. Thanks so much!

  2. Hi Elizabeth,

Yes, there is! We are releasing this pieces as individual pieces -3 at a time on a yearly basis. I can’t tell you yet what this year’s releases will be, but it will definitely be available as a single at some point. The book is going out of print for a while, but if we are able to get the last of the stock in, I can let you know so that you can purchase it. Thanks so much for your interest!
