New “Finding and Entering Beautiful Places” Pieces

New Beautiful Places Pieces | ComposeCreate.com

The Beautiful Places series continues to be an incredibly popular series on ComposeCreate! Sophisticated sounds at an early level are hard to find, so teens and adults especially are connecting with these pieces. And we’ve been thrilled that even kids are enjoying these pieces! Here’s what one teacher said:

I’m using these with my adult beginner student (in her 60s) who is LOVING that she can produce such lovely sounding pieces in 2-3 lessons.

We’ve now released the early elementary Finding Beautiful Places, early to mid elementary Entering Beautiful Places, mid elementary level In Beautiful Places, and late elementary Exploring Beautiful Places. Since the early elementary pieces were a huge hit (and in conjunction with our “Weird to Wonderful” workshop), we’re releasing Finding Beautiful Places 2 and Entering Beautiful Places 2! There are 8 new beautiful pieces total. These are mature, elegant, and will leave older beginners feeling encouraged and accomplished – which makes them want to continue lessons!

Here are the two new sets:

Finding Beautiful Places 2 (Early Elementary):

These four solos feature music on the black keys. Students can read by direction of notes and finger numbers. Hand position is shown with a small picture of a keyboard and finger numbers in the upper left corner. This allows students to practice successfully at home on their own, and gives them ownership over their practice! All rhythms contain quarter and half notes, and are written melodically so that students can feel the beat in their bodies. Here’s an example:

Finding Beautiful Places - Easy, beginner piano music for adults teens and a mature sound.

Entering Beautiful Places 2 (Early to Mid Elementary):

“Entering Beautiful Places 2” features music on the white keys. Note names are written on the notes when they are shown the first time, giving students confidence in their note-reading. Once the note is repeated, the letter names are left off. This not only helps students to learn to read the notes, but helps older beginners especially to feel like they’re progressing and retaining notes internally. Here’s an example:

Entering Beautiful Places includes Frosty Morning, Burgeoning Blooms, Fading Firelight, and Flowering Fields
