New Halloween Recital Music + New Fall Piano Music! – 7 pieces

New halloween recital music is hot off the press! Like our six other popular halloween pieces, this new one is easy to play but will amaze anyone who hears. Plus we have sales on some other popular fall and halloween themed pieces!

Halloween Recital Music!

NEW!  It’s All About the Candy

This early to mid elementary piece piece uses only 2 notes in the left hand and 3 notes in the right hand for the first half. When a few more notes appear in the jazzy second half, students will find them easy to play as they only play one at a time. Really, no counting is even needed in the second half of the piece because there is one note for every beat. But it’s always easy and doable for an elementary student!

Since not every child is the same, there are two versions of “It’s All About the Candy” that showcase different lyrics:

  • Version 1 – for kids who don’t like creepy things
  • Version 2 – for kids who do like creepy things,

Both versions of “It’s All About the Candy” are included in the studio license, which gives you the freedom to print this piece as many times as you need for students you directly teach!

Something in My Piano – Early Elementary

This piece has been thrilling students for almost a year now! “Something In My Piano” has quite the story behind it.

One day, I was sitting at the piano, enjoying my new studio in our small, brand new house. I had just finished playing when I glanced down at my feet and saw the most horrific looking, hairy, gigantic spider coming out from under my upright piano! The rest of the story is in the program note of this piece!

“Something in My Piano” is easy for early elementary students because it uses mostly steps and repeated notes. It’s terribly fun as it allows students to slap the keys (as if to kill the spider emerging from the keys). Audiences love it and kids do too!

You Don’t Scare Me Now – Elementary to Late Elementary

There’s lots of drama in this piece! “You Don’t Scare Me Now” is a fun surprise for everyone at the fall recital! The piece starts out creepy and slow, then picks up with a fun, easy syncopated melody with knocks, taps, snaps, and REALLY LOUD sound on the piano! But Wait!

The monster is invited to make the loudest noise that it can because “You don’t scare me now, you don’t scare me now!…I can make a bigger noise than you!” Students then play an amazing glissando (with the help of an index card) that wows the audience at the end.

Halloween recital music will never be the same with any of these elementary pieces!

Whirling Shadows – Early Intermediate

Whirling Shadows is great for the more mature student who doesn’t really want to dress up but still wants to play halloween recital music. This pieces is published by Willis Piano Music, but you can now get prints from ComposeCreate!

This piece has a contemporary sound with easy to play syncopations. The syncopations sound hard, but simple go back and forth between the hands, making them quite easy to play. The fast-paced eighths with a lydian flavor gives it a flowing, mysterious sound.

Up Sandy Ripple Road – Early Elementary

Doesn’t the title just make you think of colorful leaves gently floating from the trees? If it’s okay to be proud of a piece of music, it’s this one. I love playing this piece even though it’s easy enough for early elementary students. Only one note plays at a time, but it sounds like you are accompanying an Anne of Green Gables movie! The piece was inspired by a lovely book of short stories by Wendell Berry. Berry is fond of reminiscing of the past and the pace of his books is so refreshing. It makes you relax just hearing it.

This very simply piece is perfect for any late beginner or a piano students who wants to sound mature and sophisticated as they play. We’ve already had to re-order stock for this piece because we’ve sold so many, without even announcing it!

Loch Ness Quest – Early Intermediate

Talk about a scary halloween recital music! Loch Ness Quest gives early intermediate students all kinds of thrilling sounds, syncopations, modes, and surprising dynamics! It’s another one of the “Dangerous Piano Pieces” and there’s a reason pre-teens and teens love it!

As he cowered in the small boat, the mysterious creature’s head rose from the lake, waves of water falling from its scaly neck! No one in the boat with the boy could say whether this was the end or just the exciting beginning to their dangerous quest….

And so begins the Loch Ness Quest, a dramatic, intermediate piano piece for piano students. Loch Ness Quest is the newest of the “Dangerous Piano Pieces” that contain thrilling sounds, syncopations, modes and surprising dynamics! Each of these pieces: Loch Ness Quest, Chased to the Edge, and Drastic Measures is perfect for any age of student,  but especially for pre-teen and teenage students who love dramatic music or need music for a talent show!

Chased to the Edge – Early Intermediate

This early intermediate piece has danger and scary sound written all over it! It’s part of the Dangers Piano Pieces series which contains Chased to the Edge, Drastic Measures and Loch Ness Quest (see above)!

Again, the syncopations sound mature but it is extremely easy to play with back and forth motions between the hands. The enchanting, lydian melody and easy patterns are great for small hands, or hands that simply just want to play fast.

Wait! Don’t you have more halloween recital music?

They are Candy Nabber and A Scream on Halloween. The Candy Nabber features a creepy knocking on the door when someone comes to steal your candy.
