The offer for free gift tags and music is no longer valid. But you can get these free when you purchase the bundle.
We are busy working on two more unique pieces from the All is Calm, All is Bright Collection. We’ll be releasing these two new pieces on Tuesday, November 7th, so mark your calendars.
But as you know, we also like to give away free things in anticipation of this November 7th event and that’s what we’re doing today!
An interesting thing about Christmas
One of the really interesting things about Christmas is that it’s not just the day that’s exciting. It’s also anticipating the day that’s exciting. But it’s not just anticipating. It’s about celebrating the anticipating. And when we allow ourselves to celebrate all through the anticipation of Christmas, I think we have a much more well-rounded joy that’s not then disappointed on the actual day.
What do we want in holiday music?
Obviously, music is a very big part of celebrating the anticipation for Christmas. And we want holiday music that doesn’t sound like all the other holiday music. We want music that celebrates anticipation. We want to bring a fresh excitement to ourselves, our students, our friends, and our churches. We want the listener lean forward, tilt, their head and actually experience the anticipation of Christmas in a fresh, new way. We want to inspire them and ourselves with music of anticipation.
What’s the challenge?
Unfortunately, too much of our holiday piano arrangements sound the same. They have the same predictable harmonies ad rhythms which just leads to people not listening. And that just contributes a feeling of being burned out, bored with the holidays and uninspired before Christmas even gets here.
But since there are plenty of notes on the piano and no end to creativity, there should music that can sound fresh to everyone’s ears.
How did All is Calm, All is Bright come to be?
When I was younger I got very frustrated that so many holiday arrangements sounded the same. I got frustrated because sometimes it seemed like composers thought that the only way to capture the interest of an audience is to play loudly. But my mother suggested that I write my own unique arrangements that would capture people’s minds, hearts, and imaginations in a new and unique way. And several years later, I finally had a collection that I felt could do that.
We’ve already released 6 of these pieces and you can see them in the 2015 All is Calm release and the 2016 All is Calm release. This year we’ll be releasing 2 more.
