By the Blue-green Bay is the second in a series of pieces especially for the older beginning piano student. This mature sounding piece is full of emotion and nuance and is sure to make an older beginner happy. Easy patterns are in the main motive while the left hand moves just a little every few measures. It’s a great piece for helping students move easily on the piano, but only a little bit at a time. By the Blue-green Bay and it’s companion piece, In Miller’s Meadow are just right for the older beginner, teens, adults, or any students who love beautiful music.
Features of By the Blue-green Bay
By the Blue-green Bay is in G position and features a beautiful mixolydian sound in the B section. The right hand plays an easy pattern several times in the A section while the left hand moves down just one note at a time. The damper pedal is used throughout the piece, but only needs to be changed every four measures.
