Beady Eyes – Early elementary with teacher duet
Oh my. I had SUCH fun with this early elementary solo with teacher duet. I was sitting at the piano one day staring at the black keys, wondering what I would write. And suddenly I saw 2 beady eyes looking back at me! Once I saw them in the 2 black keys, I couldn’t unsee them. And now I chuckle every time I look at them. Do you know how many sets of beady eyes are staring at you? Your students will love this piece that uses the entire keyboard, snapping, and fun lyrics!
Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet – Elementary
The monsters (from Leave the Monster Scene to Us) are back at it and they’re trying to go trick or treating in your neighborhood. Super fun!
Beautifully Spooked – Late elementary
The most popular piece we released at last year’s fall webinar was Pretty Creepy. It “flew off the shelf” so to speak. So I wrote something in a similar mood, but this time for late elementary students. I really love playing it as it’s so easy to be artistic with it.
Autumn’s Coming – Late elementary to early intermediate
A lot of students who love to sing as they play, but a lot of ComposeCreate® music has fun and silly lyrics. So this piece is a beautiful, lyrical melody with serious, poetic lyrics at the late elementary level. I love playing this one too. So haunting, yet nostalgic.
Longing for Change – Mid to late intermediate
I composed this especially with the piano teacher in mind. It’s all those feelings of longing that we have at the end of summer when we are exhausted and we need a change. But not just a change in the weather. A change in our lives, our moods, and our outlook. You’ll hear that change happen in the end of the piece as it shifts keys, surreptitiously shifts harmonies, and also meter. I can’t stop playing it, so I hope you like it as well!
Bonus Recordings:
This Autumn Music Bundle 2022 includes bonus mp3 recordings performed by Wendy Stevens. These bonus recordings are helpful for students during the week to remind them of the rhythm of the music and inspire them to play beautifully. You are permitted to send these example performance tracks to your students to help them learn the pieces.
What is the Studio License?
This Autumn Music Bundle 2022 is delivered digitally (through your email receipt) and is studio licensed. This means that you can print and use this music for any student that you directly teach for your entire lifetime of teaching.

I love your style of writing. The melodies are beautiful and the chording excellent.
I have at the moment only 3 students, but I couldn’t resist your fall collection. I bought it all.
I used Misty Mountain for a beginning student that is getting ahead of her classmate to give her something special. She loves it.
I have a level 1 student who loves lovely melodies and exciting sounds. Your music is just what she desires.

My students are having a fun time with their new pieces. An exciting way to finish the year for themselves, their family and friends also myself.

I purchased the Autumn 22 Bundle because I need pieces for both kids and adults. The Ancient Forest has been a big success with both ages!

I, too, have only 3 students this year, but I had to purchase this collection. I love the variety of music and levels in this bundle. I have songs for this year and the next few years that my kiddos will enjoy. Thanks, Wendy. Your creativity astounds me!

This was a great purchase for my studio. There’s a little something in here for everyone. I love too that it has some items that are not Halloween. Personally, Halloween is my favorite, but I have a few families who unfortunately object to Halloween, but no one can object to “Autumn’s Coming” and “Longing For Change.” Beautiful music with a sense of humor. I love all my Wendy Stevens music. Keep it coming!

This Fall collection is gold!! A top favorites is Beady Eyes – I have 5 different beginners all learning it right now and they love it!! Beautifully Spooked is super engaging and mature sounding for middle grades, and Longing for Change is compelling for one of my teenagers. All winners!

What a fantastic collection of pieces for students in the Autumn Bundle! I am using four of them at this time with children and have shared “Autumn’s Coming” with some of my adult students. Because of the repeating patterns in “Beady Eyes,” “Beautifully Spooked,” and “Trick or Treat, Smell My Feet” students are practicing enthusiastically. The lyrics of the songs delight them as well.
I am teaching “Beady Eyes” to a beginner who is 6 years old and learning pieces on the black keys. I had him close his eyes while I attached googly eyes with adhesive glue dots to the black keys and he was delighted to see “beady eyes” staring at him when he opened his eyes. It helped him to play the ending with ease and that was his assignment for that week and he approached learning the verses this week with excitement. Even his younger sister helped him with that part.
The student playing “Beautifully Spooked” loved it so much she had learned the beginning in tempo when she returned to her lesson after one week. She is actually working on a medley of Wendy Stevens autumn pieces and calls it her “Wendy Halloween Collection”. 🙂
“Autumn’s Coming has been a hit with my middle schoolers who want a more “grown up” sound to share with their friends. I spent most of a lesson working with one studenton this piece and at the conclusion of her lesson when I told her it was time to go, she said, “Already? That lesson seemed like 2 minutes.”
My students love your music and consistently choose to play it when given a choice. I’ve taught piano for almost 40 years and one thing I’ve learned over the years is that students will practice if they like the music. Thank you for making my job so easy and for helping teachers do their best!

My students are enjoying the autumn music. I have used the Beadie eyes and trick or treat smell my feet with younger students I teach in regular Music class. Longing for Change has also been a hit with an older student!
Thank you for all your work. It inspires the students and their teacher, me.

I was hesitant about “taking the time” in lessons for Halloween/Autumn music, but my students’ reactions to their new, fun pieces changed my mind! “Beady Eyes” was perfect for a couple new beginners, one of which had specifically requested to play a Halloween song! “Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet” got a lot of giggles from my students, most of whom proceeded to say the entire rhyme (they all new different versions). Beautifully spooked worked well for students who love rote playing. And Autumn is Coming was a favorite with my elementary and middle school girls (even a couple high school girls!). I gave “Longing for Change” to a high school girl to have a little break from Beethoven and Debussy. She was really happy to have something “just for fun.” This bundle really has made October fun at my studio.

Autumn is coming and this bundle for fall has been a joy to share with all the students. They love Wendy Stevens pieces so much because of interesting sounds, cool patterns, playing all over the keyboard and they especially love glissandos! Wendy keeps improving her repertoire choices. New students are so glad to have supplemental pieces that reinforce note and rhythm reading learned from a method book. Musicality, creativity as well as a sense of sun with surprises spells success!! Thank you Wendy!
