Assembling the Team is the first piece in the All Cooped Up Spy Collection featuring the sneaky antics of those adorable All Cooped Up Chickens! Assembling the Team has the intrigue of a spy movie along with exceptionally fun graphics of three covert chickens. Late elementary students will love the movie-like quality of this piece and it will motivate them to learn the other All Cooped Up Spy pieces as well.
What Level is Assembling the Team?
Assembling the Team is late elementary level. The piece is in C minor, but all the accidentals are notated, so there is no key signature. The motive has small amounts of syncopation. The smallest note value is the eighth note. Assembling the Team does not have much hands together playing, making it a very successful piece for those who struggle with coordination. There is no pedal in the piece. Fingering is carefully notated to help students “not trip up” and to make teaching more effective.

I wanted an end-of-school-term piece for a middle school boy. This piece is the perfect fit! The “Master It Faster” pages are helpful in isolating practice sections. No more drudgery in the last weeks of lessons before summer break.
Karen Larson –
Gave the All Cooped Up Spy pieces to a 10 year old boy because of the ‘Master it Faster’ pages. They made him focus on notes, rhythms and patterns before he jumped into the piece. His enthusiasm for these pieces abounds. Here is his review: The assembling the team piece is really fun to play 4.5 stars out of 5
the reason why i take off .5 is because measures 33-40 i think that the left hand rest i think that both hands should start together.
