Twister (Late Elementary)

Hal Leonard has published my first pedagogical piece entitled Twister.  It is a level 3 (late elementary) Hal Leonard Showcase Solo and can be found on page 15 of the 2009 Spring Catalogue (picture is on page 14).  Here is the description Hal Leonard gives:

This dizzying piece is sure to be a dazzler at the recital! The C minor 5-finger patterns and exciting hand-over-hand arpeggios make it an impressive piece that is easy to perform with flair.

I have to admit, I have been a little surprised by great response I have had from the piece.  Perhaps this is because it is one of those pieces that sounds difficult, but is easy to play once you get the pattern in your hand.  Or perhaps it is because fast pieces always seem to thrill early level piano students.  But whatever the reason, its great to know that this meets the needs of many students in other studios.
