Unicorn Gliding is beautiful, flowing piece that’s just right for early elementary and elementary students. The music and the cover have that unique unicorn magic! Plus this piece comes with poetic lyrics and a special bonus unicorn coloring page!Â
Leveling of Unicorn Gliding
The smallest note value in Unicorn Gliding is the quarter note. The piece is composed entirely of steps, skips, and repeats. So there are no difficult intervals.Â
The RH crosses over the left hand in an easy way as it only ever crosses to the C right next to the B that was just played.
The pedal is held down through the entire piece, so student do not need to lift at any time.
Bonus included with Unicorn Gliding!
We are so proud of this artwork created by our artist that we asked him to create a coloring sheet. You get that coloring sheet included in your purchase! Plus, you’ll probably be asked by your student if they can have a copy of the cover. When we tested it, one student asked if she could have a copy to hang over her bed!
What is a studio license?
The studio license that comes with this Unicorn Gliding piece licenses the purchasing teacher to print as many copies as needed or any student they directly teach. So it is like getting an unlimited supply of this Music Kids Love® for yourself and your students. This is not a multi-teacher license, so it can only be used by one teacher. However, the music and bonus can be used by as many students as the purchasing teacher directly instructs on a regular basis.
You can see more elementary music with a studio license here!

A couple of students love unicorns so they loved this piece, easy but effective.

I was so excited to see this piece, that was at a suitable level for a 5-year old unicorn-obsessed piano pupil of mine! It sounds beautiful, and works really well with the ‘reading and rote’ approach

My students are loving it!

My younger girl students LOVE this piece (ALL of them)! Unicorns are a big deal to them, so they are thrilled to have music about something that is significant in their young lives! They also love being able to use the pedal and hear how wonderful it makes the music sound! Furthermore, the music isn’t complicated, so they can learn it easily in a week or two. Great music for the win!
Tina Vernon –
This is a great piece, it is beautiful and sounds harder than it really is. Thanks for writing inspiring pieces.

My seven year old student Genevieve loves Unicorn Gliding. As a warm up yesterday, I gave her snowflake flashcards of all of the notes in the piece and had her locate and play them on the piano. Afterwards I asked her to read through the piece. She noticed and identified similar melodic phrases which made this process easier. She especially liked the hand crossing from b to c.
After we worked through the entire piece, she played it with the pedal and loved the sound.
Clara Law –
Perfect piece for my beginner student who loves mystical creatures! We chose it for a Festival where she could dress up as a unicorn. She was so excited to color the unicorn page too! Thank you for this beautifully simple piece!

LOVE these (Mermaid Wishes, Unicorn Gliding, Dragon Dreams)! So simple and easy to learn, but sound so full and engaging. It gives students confidence and they all love the titles! I also appreciate that they are 2 pages, which makes them feel more substantial as well.

“I like whoever wrote this song. I like their style. This one is fun to play!” says Nora, my young student!
