Under the gentle glow of the moonlight, the world becomes enchanting and new. Secrets whisper softly and the landscape is bathed in a luminous embrace. Under Luna’s Light will magically transport any pianist into this exquisite and peaceful world.
Students have ample opportunity in this beautiful solo to practice playing delicately by getting to the bottoms of the keys. Three note left hand chords are also explored in this piece.
What level is Under Luna’s Light?
Under Luna’s Light is a mid elementary solo composed in D Major. All accidentals are written in, so students at this early level do not need to worry about key signatures. The largest interval is a fifth. Pedaling is notated throughout, but students hold the pedal for long periods instead of having to coordinate lifting the pedal frequently. Fingering and dynamics are clearly marked. Students move around the piano using 8vas and 15mas.
