Scatterbrained Scarecrow sounds like a kooky, somewhat scattered scarecrow having a lot of fun! This late elementary piano solo features lots of great ways to teach articulation (plenty of staccatos, legatos, and accents). Students change position several times in this piece, allowing them to play all over the piano.
There are several places of shifting meter (moving from 4/4 to 3/4 and back), but these are easily executed because they are simply filled with quarter notes…no complicated counting and rhythm! Students cross their left hand over the right hand in the main motives of the piece.
Scatterbrained Scarecrow is now available as a digital download!
Hal Leonard used to own the copyright to this piece and it was only available as a printed sheet.
But now, Scatterbrained Scarecrow is available as a digital download with a studio license! This means that if you purchase the studio license, you can use it with as many students as you ever directly teach during your entire lifetime of teaching.
Scatterbrained Scarecrow comes with an mp3 bonus!
Included in this studio license package is an mp3 recording of the piece without the voiceovers! You are permitted to share the mp3 with any student to whom you are directly teaching the piece. This will make it easier for them to learn. Plus, they can learn to mimic the articulations more precisely with a live example they can play at home.
