Party Day is a driving, contemporary style solo celebrating that “any day’s a day for a party!” We’re actually celebrating 20 years of helping teachers flourish and creating Music Kids Love®, so that’s why this song is being given to ComposeCreate® followers for a short period of time.

What Level is Party Day?

Party Day is early intermediate though many late elementary students can play it as well. Because the piece alternates between G major and G Mixolydian, no key signature is included. All of the accidentals are notated. No pedaling is required, though some students may want to add a touch here and there. The piece is carefully fingered and marked with articulations to make it an excellent teaching piece, that is equally excellent at impressing friends.

A melodic octave interval is used in the left hand, but the hand never has to play a harmonic octave.
