When I was in elementary school, we used to decorate our Christmas tree in super colorful, handmade ornaments, many of which had our school pictures in them. As I grew older, my mother used her decorating prowess to transform our artificial tree into a work of art (she still does this in her amazing decor business). She’s where I got my creative (and independent) flair! [Thanks, mom!]

So this mid to late intermediate piece contains little bit of both styles…an artistic melancholy AND an energetically vibrant style all in the same piece.
