Hymns for Adult Students

A teacher emailed me last week telling me about how she was using the Easy Hymn Solos Book 1 with one of her adults students.  I really enjoyed hearing this little vignette since one of my reasons for writing this series was to give students music that sounds mature, but is easy to play.  I know adults are especially sensitive about these kinds of things.   She says,

“The hymn arrangements are giving my adult student an opportunity to produce an artistic sound at an easy level via her favored genre. Even her teenage daughter has given her unsolicited praise after hearing her practice! That may be the ultimate complement! It’s really great to be able to have the right music for a student.”

That just made my day…and motivates me to write more!  Thanks to everyone who takes the time to give me feedback.  It is always appreciated.

  1. Yes, yes, yes! I love the hymn arrangements and I am grateful to having artistic, mature sounding arrangements available at multiple levels of difficulty. For my senior citizen student returning to the piano after an extended hiatus, I am most grateful that the fonts are easier on the eyes than most of the material which she has been bringing to me to play.
