Many of you print your studio-licensed music and put it in your students’ notebooks to protect the music. I’m sure everyone has stories about how prints get eaten or destroyed in the bottomless piano bag! So I’m guessing you already know how much better it is to have separate Music Notebook just for studio-licensed music!
Many of you use your students assignment book, a 1/2 inch 3 ringer binder like this one, or the pro-click binding system that I talked about years ago. I still love how you can unzip and rezip the binding of the pro-click system at any time to add a new piece.
Whatever kind of notebook you use, it’s nice to have a professional looking Music Notebook Cover!
Recently, a teacher in the ComposeCreateĀ® Facebook group asked if I had any professional covers for her students to use. I’ve done a few not professional looking ones in the past, but loved the idea of designing new ones.
So I thought long and hard about what appeals to kids. I remembered those Little Golden Books and Berenstein Bears books that I loved as a child and that my kids still pour over saying, “I read that one!” or “I want to get that one!” or “How many have you read?”

It made me realize that though it would clearly help kids continue to be interested in Music Kids LoveĀ® (so it obviously benefits me), a special Music Notebook Cover like this would be a great way to show kids that there are a LOT of pieces out there still to explore!
And since our covers are so compelling to kids, this just invites them to want to play even more music!
Imagine your student saying “I want to play that one! And that one too!”
Kids wanting to play more music is always a win!
So I designed two covers, one for kids and one for teens, featuring Music Kids LoveĀ®. These are so fun to print and would be great for your organizing notebooks as well.

You can print and give these to your students or email it to them to print themselves.
