I am posting the rest of my student entries for the Cartoon Motive Contest that we are currently having. These are the pictures of characters that did not win, but obviously were worthy of accolades! Congratulations to all my students for their beautiful artwork.
Teachers: Are you curious? This is becoming a super fun project in my studio and I’m excited about telling you more about it soon. I am learning what things are working and what things are not working for this contest so that I can write about how you can do it in your studio. I’d love for you to comment on the pictures that you see below and the ones that won here: Cartoon Motive Winners. I know my students would love to hear your thoughts on their artwork.

Character Description:
Watergirl is a very powerful superhero with many different powers, all of which have to do, obviously, with water. She is able to shoot water out of her hands, melt into a water puddle, walk on water, breathe underwater, draw large bodies of water to her, ride on paths of ice, bring water to dry spots, cause storms, make tsunamis (and other big waves), and shoot beams of water out of her eyes. She is very sweet, ecstatic, and just however, and she is a valued hero in her superhero group, known as the League of Superheroes.

Lovely imaginative art work. I can’t wait to hear more about how you are using these in composition.
How fun! They all did awesome but I’m going to have to vote for Secret Agent Spice!
