Music Achievement Cards are a new way for students to showcase all they have learned and accomplished at the piano! Affirming students and reminding them of all they have accomplished with “collector cards” is motivating and these cards help you do this in a fun way! There are many ways to use these fun and colorful cards!
How Can I Use Music Achievement Cards?
You can use Music Achievement Cards in many ways! Here are some suggestions (plus you should read the article we wrote about more in-depth ways of using them):
- Incentives – Invite students to see how many cards they can collect (a bit like the 30 piece challenge, only with a tangible token/reward) by learning each piece.
- Rewards – Reward your students when they learn the piece by giving them the Music Achievement Card for that piece! The cards a perfectly sized to be stored and displayed in baseball card sleeves so students can see them in their own notebooks!
- Building excitement – Display the cards on a wall in your studio to pique students’ interest! Covers are so influential in motivating students, so displaying the cards can get your students excited about learning new pieces is a great idea for motivation.
- Choosing recital pieces – When it’s time to choose a recital piece, show students your
own collection of pieces (in baseball card sleeves) from which they can choose! - Brag Books – Help students create a Music Brag Book where they can showcase the special pieces they have played with their Music Achievement Cards. You can display these at recitals or other places where you are marketing for new students.
- Studio charts and Décor – Use these on your studio wall, piano or small shelves to showcase the beautiful music students can learn.
- Studio Showcase (for marketing) – Compile your own Brag Book to show prospective families music that you teach! Showing the beautiful covers and music details help parents know you care about knowing how kids think, what they like, and are careful to select Music Kids Love®!
Printing Tips Included
Every printer is different, but we have included tips for printing in the PDF file. Always print at 100% (no scaling) and recommend that you print on card stock paper
How is this laid out? What if I need more than one card at a time?
For your convenience, we have included two files for the Music Achievement Cards .
File 1 – contains a PDF where each page is filled with 8 of the same card. So if you need multiples, you’ll already have them and if you don’t, then you’ll tuck them away and pull them out when you need them.
File 2 – contains the set of all the pieces in that series. So if you need just one set, you can easily print it without multiples.
How do I get the updates if cards are added?
As promised, when more pieces in a particular series are added, these will eventually be added to the Music Achievement Cards PDF file. You are able to download the new file at no extra charge! As of January 2024, 2 new sets of Little Fuzzies cards and 3 new sets of Exploring Beautiful Places cards have been added.
To access the new file, please delete the original file (the new file will be named the same thing), then just re-download the file from the Downloads tab of your account or with the link in your original receipt!

My students have started to collect the achievement cards. I am giving them out when they finish a piece. Some students are able to review pieces from last year, too. Now they are asking to play songs that have cards! I am so excited that it’s working so well! Now I am trying to wait patiently for cards for the other songs I own. This is such a great idea and I can’t wait to continue my collection of both cards and music!

I thought I would give these a whirl with my students this year because I was intrigued by the concept. Little did I know what a hit they would become!!! My students love collecting the cards in their baseball card sleeves. They earn music money for each sheet they fill which is also great incentive. Students love having a tangible reward for learning a piece, and collector cards are a hit! One student made a list so she wouldn’t forget which cards she wanted to earn. It’s great for students to read the inspiration for the piece on the back of the card, and it inspires their creativity when we work on composing. I hesitated for a LONG time to purchase these cards, even though my students were loving the pieces, because I thought, “This is just WAYYYY too gimmicky” and “My students won’t really want these”, yada yada yada.
