This Month Song (like the others I’ve purchased so far) is great and is going down well with my older pupils playing at this level. Pieces with hand crossing always go down well and this is great piece for working on expression and dynamics as well as the concept of slowing down and reverting to the original speed.

The April song has appealed to my adult student for its beautiful reflective melody. It gives the opportunity to explore expressive shaping of phrases and subtle dynamic nuances, and to work on effective rubato – just letting the phrases and performer breathe peacefully through the music. It gives a perfect chance to discuss major/minor tonalities and musical form. We both love playing this for its calming mood.

A big favorite with my students. So lyrical. Sounds hard . Plays easy

This song sounds so much harder than it is, and my students love that! Beautiful piece, wonderful addition to our repertoire!

The interchange between major and minor arpeggios and chords worked perfectly with my early intermediate lesson material.

I have a student who is determined to learn every month piece. He can hardly wait until the next month to learn the new piece! This piece was great for him to work on his more reflective/expressive playing as he likes to perform everything fast and loud.

Beautiful, lovely piece that sounds more difficult to play than it really is. I have a middle school young lady who is practicing this for our recital this year, and she is loving it! It also a great piece to use in practicing crossing LH over RH, playing eighth note passages evenly passing between the hands, and overlapping pedal.
