Fresh, New 2016 – 30 Piece Challenge Charts!

If you’ve done the 30 or 40 piece challenge for several years, you might be tired of the charts that I’ve had available for the last 3 years. If that’s the case, then I first want to thank you for supporting, cheering, and spreading the word about ComposeCreate! I truly appreciate you!

So, I wanted to give you some completely fresh charts with fresh colors and a fresh design! I hired an artist to do this for me and I hope it will be a nice change of pace for your 30 piece and 40 piece challenge!

Blow Up the Challenge!

I love what Lizbeth Atkinson did with her 30 piece challenge charts! She sent them to a printer and had the printer blow them up into a larger wall chart. (This is perfectly legal and I’d encourage you to do this with ComposeCreate resources because the quality of their prints are so much nicer than home printers.)

Blow Up the New 30 Piece Challenge Form!

Lizbeth said that she asked the print shop (she used fedex kinkos) to print it on the least expensive poster paper. She said it was “a little bit expensive, but sooooo worth it because it lasted the entire year.” She mounted it on the wall with 3m velcro strips.

NEW! Type Names into the 30 Piece Challenge Forms!

It always looks better when you type something in rather than handwrite it. So, with these new 30 piece challenge forms, you can now type in your students names in both the main chart AND the certificates! This will look beautiful if you send this to the printer!!!

Plus, the font size of your students’ names will auto adjust to the width of the box! Note: You MUST open these in Adobe Reader to have this functionality!

Watch the video to see how. [Disclaimer…I did this in a hurry just to make it easy for you. So unfortunately, you can hear kid noises (and yes, even a toilet seat banging) in a few places. There’s never a dull moment around here which is why most of the time I make my videos when the kids are gone!]

  1. Hi! I love this idea, and will be implementing it with at least one of my students. Maybe I’m totally missing it, but how come on your posts there isn’t an option to share the post on FB?

  2. My students have been excited this week to see the new 30-song challenge page! They think it looks really cool!

  3. Thanks for this awesome idea! If I’m sending the pdf to an online printing service, how do I get it to print only the one page that I want out of the 11?

  4. Hi Cindy!

Just tell them which page to print. Like this: “I need 3 prints of page 9 only.” Though there are not page numbers printed (we knew you wouldn’t want to see them on the chart), whatever program your PDF opens in should tell you which page number you are looking at.

    I hope that helps!

  5. Thank you! Do you know approximately how long it takes to receive the download email? I have added you to my contacts.

  6. Hi Melody! Occasionally, the email system is slow, but it usually doesn’t take but a few minutes. If you have added wendy@composecreate.com to your email contacts, go back and check your spam to make sure that it didn’t end up there. If you find it there, please mark it as “not spam” and move it to your inbox.

Addition, Gmail also sometimes subdivides your email into a promotions tab which is different than your inbox. So be sure to check your promotions tab as well! If you find anything in your promotions tab, then be sure to move it to your inbox.

Let me know if you don’t get it!
