I want to invite all my NCKP 2013 friends and ComposeCreate® followers to dinner on Thursday evening, July 25th around 6:15. We’ll meet at the beautiful Brio Italian Restaurant which is less than 1/2 mile from the hotel. You can walk or take a shuttle.
This dinner will take place on the same day as Part 1 of “Stress Free Business Practices for your Studio” session which is scheduled for 2:15. So dinner will be a great time to discuss these ideas or just to get to know some great teachers (see below).
It is rare that a restaurant will allow large groups to have individual checks, but I have worked out a deal with the kind staff at Brio so that we can all have individual checks and pay separately. But, I will need some things from you in order for this to go smoothly.
- RSVP. Please let me know if you are attending so that I can give a firm number to the Brio staff.
- Place your order in advance. I’ll be sending out a reminder to those who RSVP, but the Brio staff would like to know what you would like to order in advance so that they can serve you in a timely manner and get you your check in enough time so that you can attend the evening’s concert. Here is a link to their menu: Dinner at Brio
I can’t wait to meet you all! Please email to let me know that you’ll be joining us! Already a number of incredible teachers and pedagogues have RSVP’d (through Facebook) and I’m sure you’ll want to meet some of the great teachers joining us: Leila Viss (she’s written the most down to earth articles on technology on both my and her blog), Diane Hidy (author of Piano Town and other fantastic music), Charlene Shelzi (the amazing game creator from TCW/Kjos), Sylvia Coats (pedagogy department head of Wichita State University), Kristin Yost (the author of many business articles and “How I Made $100,ooo My First Year of Teaching Piano), Dorla Price Aparicio (who has one of the best looking sites around!) and many more.
So, let me know if you will be attending (or you can RSVP via Facebook)! I’ll send a reminder later about placing your order in advance (through me). I can’t wait to meet you!

Thanks for setting this up, Wendy. Looking forward to it!
