What’s so special about the Vintage Vinyl Recital Program?
The Vintage Vinyl Recital Program includes everything you need for your recital. From the beautifully designed invitations and poster to the vertical and horizontal template that you receive, you’ll have everything you need to just type in your program details and print!
Our famous compliment cards are also included and feature beautiful ombré colors and retro graphics! These provide a space for audience members to write encouraging notes to each performer. See our special posts about including compliment cards at your program here and here.
This, along with other designs in our Recital Program Template Packages include these convenient elements:
- The text about your recital is editable!
- Horizontal AND vertical templates are included.
- Even if you have a lot of students, they’ll all fit on this program! There are two different designs for both a front and back on the vertical template, giving you the option for lots of room. The horizontal template includes even more room for your student names and pieces! If you’re using the Word or Pages documents (both are included!), you can also change the font size, remove spaces between performers, and adjust the line spacing to give more room for student names.
- A Vintage Vinyl recital program, poster invitation for your studio, plus 4-up smaller invitations for passing out are also included.
- Fun and cheerful Compliment Cards are included, too! The recital compliment exchange is used by so many teachers to boost motivation and excitement about recitals. Keep your audience listening and inspire your students at the same time. Reading and “scrapbooking” the compliment cards is a fun lesson activity to boost your students’ self-confidence.

What happens when you use a professional design?
Recitals are a wonderful time to reiterate to parents that you are a professional – not just in teaching, but in all areas of your studio! It’s important to be consistent in showing your excellence in your branding and recitals as well as in your teaching. When an audience sees a beautifully designed program, it communicates that you care not only about teaching well, but about creating beauty and excellence even down to the details. This can really help affirm to parents that you are a wonderful choice as a teacher for their child!
The Vintage Vinyl Recital Program Template Package not only saves you tons of time and money, but allows you to communicate that you care deeply about quality in all you do.

“OH, WOW!” This is the comment I’ve heard over and over from students as I show them what their spring recital program is going to look like this year. Some families actively collect vinyl records. Whether that’s the case or not, these graphics are colorful, fun, and just way cool. They’ve been sharing the invitations and posters with friends and relatives, and it’s got them excited. I’ll hand out bunches of Compliment Cards & pencils at the recital for the audience to fill out (one of the most encouraging things EVER for performers!). In addition, since the recital is on Mothers Day, I’ve given students a handful of questions about their mothers to choose from. As they give me their statements, I’m copying them onto Compliment Cards. They will read them aloud into a mic at the recital, and then give the card to their mom. Thanks, Wendy, for providing such amazing graphics to make us look good!

Attractive, fairly easy to use customize–even for non-techies like myself. The compliment cards refreshed an old idea I’d forgotten about! That they coordinated with the recital program communicated ‘professional’. Plus, as I handed these out to students the week following the recital, it really pulled them in to a conversation about evaluating their playing. Another big win was enthusiastic affirmation from both parents and students that they liked this idea!!

The vintage vinyl program is very colorful and looks great. We wanted to share a QR code, but unfortunately we aren’t able to get just the 2 pages for the color program so weren’t able to use the QR code idea. It would be wonderful if there could be a separate file for just the 2 page program so a QR code could be used more easily.

Hi Linda,
You can definitely do this in the future! Simply use the Pages or the Word file so that you can just “print to PDF” only the pages you want. You can easily import an image of a QR code to those files as well. The Adobe Reader file is just not as versatile by nature of the Adobe program. So for maximum flexibility, simply use the other files and you can do lots of things with them including what you are desribing!
