What time of day do kids most anticipate? The answer is definitely Snack Time at this house! This early to mid-elementary piano solo explores “what kids think” and connects with them right where they are!
Catchy and True Lyrics
Snack time articulates what so many kids feel every day around 3:00. Here are some of the words to this new, catchy early elementary to mid-elementary piece:
Early in the morning is the time that I most dread. A decent breakfast helps me pull my body out of bed. But after that, the day gets dull. My friends and I are in a lull. Yet there’s one part of every day we always love the most!
Snack time is the best, best part of the day! It’s when all my troubles, they just vanish away! It’s when sweet and salty come together to play….
And so the lyrics go!
Leveling of Snack Time
This pieces is an early elementary piece with lots of repeated notes and steps. There are a few skips in the chorus and the left hand does move around in one part of the chorus. Though the chorus sounds big and full because of the intervals played, these intervals are very easy for the hands (a 5th in the RH and one note in the LH). These “chords” are repeated, so once the student has them, they are very simple to play and sound great!
Easy hand positions, repeated notes, and a driving sound will make Snack Time popular with almost all early elementary and elementary piano students!
