Pat Murray –
This was played by an adult who is taking piano with me. She played it so beautifully that I made it the end piece in our recital. The tune is subtly woven in to the piece and it is one of my favourites. Thank you Wendy for such a wonderful composition.
Julie Wyse –
One of my teenage students was thrilled to learn this arrangement. She loved that it sounded fresh and sophisticated while still a recognizable Christmas carol!
Amber Saldivar –
A beautiful piece that is fun to play! the syncopation is especially fun, keeps the song moving, and is a great teaching tool to boot! there is enough new material and variety to make this piece feel fresh and yet comfortingly familiar at the same time.
Phyllis –
Such a beautiful arrangement. This is not a commonly chosen song for Christmas recital, but this arrangement has made it a piece for my students to love. Thanks for making this song come to life.
Linda –
All of my teenagers have loved this arrangement. It has interesting rhythms that give just a bit of a challenge. It is a beautiful piece.
Marie Hershey –
I love this arrangement which is absolutely beautiful. The chords really set it off. My students enjoyed learning it . It looks difficult but when taken apart, it was learned fairly quickly. One of my students is doing it in our virtual recital which is Sunday aft. I have taught many students your arrangements and they are wonderful.
Dixie Cramer –
One of my busy teens chose this as her special Christmas solo for the season. She’s extremely busy, but has been able to learn this in just a few weeks in spite of little time to practice, and is enjoying its lovely & sophisticated sounds. It’s an exquisite & sensitive arrangement. One parent described Wendy’s music as having qualities that she couldn’t put into words, but felt her music is nothing short of beautiful.
Lohnay Bishoff –
I thought this piece was so beautiful with the introductory measures carried throughout the piece–so smart. My students were engaged with this piece as it helped them to sound at a higher level than they usually play. I loved that I could easily email it to them online with all the social distancing. I will be using this piece for years to come with my students.
Jerri Headrick –
beautiful arr. appropriate for intermediates

I purchased “O, Little Town of Bethlehem” for myself, something really easy and different and lovely for a difficult season.
Lorraine –
This piece was challenging. Challenging because of the stylization. Students really had to listen to bring out the melody. I really enjoy the challenges you compose for them!
Linda Sharp –
I recommend this one for an evening service prelude. The harmonies are beautifully fresh and come together without much practice.
Karen –
I don’t currently have any students playing this piece — but that’s ok! I’m loving it for me!! I’ve used it for two different services’ preludes. It comes together quickly with very little practice. For students, it’d be ideal for the wintery study of syncopation, lyrical playing, the bringing out of melody, the rise and fall of phrases. And it’s just plain beautiful!
Clayton –
I got asked to play a Christmas song for my church Christmas program a week before the program. This is simple yet complex enough to have it be a beautiful piece and I was able to get it down pretty well within that week so thank you for this lovely arrangement! I didn’t feel the need to add anything extra like I do with most other arrangements. This is the perfect piece!

I completely agree with Phyllis! Wendy has brought this carol into the 21st century in an engaging and playable way that is relatable and beautiful.
