This fun incentive program will have your students (even the older ones) clamoring to learn new music and fill their Little Fuzzies jar with new fuzzies! Students will find the physical and visual stimulation of the growing number of fuzzies in their jar very motivating! This program can be used as a fun summer incentive or any time of year.

How does the Little Fuzzies Challenge Incentive Program work?

Details, including an interview with a teacher who was a trailblazer for this program, can be found on this blog post. Here is a quick overview of how it works (be sure to read the blog post though for many more details):

1. Students complete tasks (like practicing, theory, listening, and even fun things like writing a composer) during the week that each earn then 1 Fuzzy pom pom that can be added to their jar at the studio.
2. Teachers award students the pom-poms at the lesson and students use their Little Fuzzy Tracker Page (included) to track their progress.
3. Over time, the number of fuzzies grow in the jar for a great effect that’s sure to motivate more practice! Even students who don’t practice much will want their jar to be filled like all the others! 
4. For every 10 little fuzzies in the jar (kept track by the Tracker Page), students can earn a bigger Fuzzy pom-pom, add eyes, and glue to the top of their jar.
5. At the beginning OR end of the challenge, you can host a party and play the special Little Fuzzies Scavenger Hunt, have student bring Little Fuzzy (round) treats, and play their favorite pieces for each other.

Is this ONLY for Little Fuzzies music?

Definitely not! The Little Fuzzies Challenge Incentive Program can include any music that you have.  Students can complete one page of ANY piece that you choose, but you’ll find that using series of pieces is especially motivating – especially the Little Fuzzies Series! How do I edit the criteria for my studio?

We include a PDF (not editable) and a Pages and Word file that you can edit and make your own repertoire list and rules. However, please note that this is a free product, and we cannot provide tech support for editing. You may need to adjust text boxes, images, etc. depending on what version of Word or Pages you use. You can also try to open one of those files in a different word processing program, but will need to adjust the formatting. 

What other materials do I need?  

Besides these materials that we are providing in this product that you can get free, you will also need the following: 

• Clear jars or tubes to display each students fuzzies 
• Small pom poms
• Larger pom poms
• Self-adhesive eyes

How is this free? Shouldn’t this cost something? 

Yes, technically we should be charging for this program as it took a good deal of time and energy to create. Right now we are offering it for free, but would be delighted if you would consider supporting our efforts by buying more of our music! That’s the best way to ensure that we can continue to provide these resources, sometimes without any cost to you!
