This bundle of elementary piano arrangements include a jazzy flavored Go Tell It on the Mountain and a super energetic arrangement of Deck the Hall! Both pieces help elementary piano students sound even more mature and provide lots of opportunity to teach and enforce musical concepts.
The Level of Deck the Hall
Deck the Hall is elementary level and the smallest rhythmic note value is the quarter note. This arrangement sounds very complicated but is quite easy and the left hand in particular often just plays a G. However, when the hands are combined (they only take turns and never play together except for 1 measure at the end), it gives quite the energetic sound.
The Level of Go Tell It
The Go Tell It on the Mountain arrangement is elementary level. The smallest note value is the quarter note. There is some syncopation across the bar lines. Please see the video (in the middle) for a great tip in helping students master this.
There are B flats in the piece, but these are easily taught by rote.
There is a teacher duet included on the music of Go Tell It on the Mountain
Free Bonus Recordings
Go Tell It on the Mountain also comes with 2 free mp3 recordings. One is of the solo at a slow tempo and one is of the duet a faster tempo. These are not play along tracks, but rather tracks that you can email to students/parents so they can listen during the week and know how the rhythm goes.
This bundle is available as a studio license which means that you only have to purchase it one time, and you are then licensed to print as many prints of both pieces as you need for as many students as you directly teach! It’s like getting an unlimited supply of the piece since you never have to pay for it again, plus there is no shipping.
