How Rhythm Tracks At Home Help Students Internalize Rhythm

How at home rhythm tracks help students internalize rhythm

Rhythm is the most foundational aspect of creating music – if you play all of the right notes with the right dynamics, but don’t use the right rhythm, no one will know what you’re playing!

Plus learning to internalize rhythm and play with rhythmic accuracy is important for any instrument your child may go on to play! It’s truly one of the best musical gifts we can give children to empower them on their journey to making music and becoming a musician.

This is why we created the at home rhythm tracks for students for Rhythm Menagerie®, Rhythm Manipulations®, and Rhythm Cup Explorations®! These tracks help your child practice at home accurately, internalize rhythm in their body, and progress more quickly. Read on to find out more about the rhythm streaming tracks and why they’re so integral to your child’s learning!

What are the Streaming Rhythm Tracks?

The rhythm streaming tracks are integral in helping students practice at home – and not just practice, but practice accurately! They are easy-to-use tracks that are hosted on our super-fast server. As long as you have a computer, tablet, or phone with internet access, you’ll have access to the tracks. The streaming tracks are very well organized, and students can be easily empowered to use them independently.

The first two tracks demonstrate the rhythm:

Three tracks per line of rhythm are included. In the first two tracks, students can hear the rhythm being played along with them, which tells them whether they’re playing the rhythm correctly. The third track challenges students to stay with the track and play accurately even when the rhythm is no longer depicted.

Here’s an example – notice the first track is slow and you can hear the clapping. The 2nd track is a little faster and you can still hearing the clapping:

The third track helps test speed and accuracy:

But the third track is the fastest track of the three tracks and does not contain the rhythm tapped or clapped. So this is a great way for students to challenge themselves (with the speed) but also make sure that they are reading the rhythm accurately without the help of the audio.

How much do the tracks cost?

The first month of at home rhythm tracks is absolutely free. We want you to try these out and see why they are so special. After the first month, the streaming tracks for Rhythm Menagerie®, Rhythm Manipulations®, and Rhythm Cup Explorations® are very affordable. We wanted students to be able to access these tracks without a huge monetary commitment that would be difficult to keep up. We’re so sure you’ll love these and want to continue using them that we want you to be able to experience them first-hand for free. But cancelling is also very easy, and you can do so at any time.

Here are the prices (and all of these come with a free trial!). The bundle is usually something that teachers choose.

How will these help my child to improve if they’re already learning rhythm during lessons?

If your child’s teacher told you about the at home rhythm tracks for students, it means they’re already using the rhythm curriculum with your child – and that is giving them a solid understanding of rhythm that is so valuable! But can you imagine ramping up their learning and retention of those concepts even more by having access to the tracks at home? Not only does it aid in their practice, it makes the practice more fun – and kids will always practice more if they enjoy what they’re doing!

A wide variety of styles makes the tracks fun!

There are so many styles of music that we included in these tracks: dramatic orchestral sounds, electronic, Latin American-inspired. And that’s just a few! They are all unique, and all are exciting to practice with! Each track was composed to specifically work with the rhythm exercise it aligns with, making the rhythm feel more natural to clap along with.

Tracks replace the metronome in a musical way!

If you took lessons as child, you may have learned to play accurately with a metronome. These tracks are a fabulous alternative, and still give the same benefits, like:

  • Internalizing the “feeling” of the beat in their body
  • Processing rhythm quickly, which will allow them to learn future pieces more quickly
  • Improve listening skips
  • Prepare students to play with others down the road

Here’s one of many comments we’ve heard about how the tracks are helpful for students at home:

I have finally made it through Rhythm Menagerie® with several of my students and am diving deep into Rhythm Manipulations®. Two of my students have subscribed to the streaming tracks and i know it is helping them greatly. They can tell while practicing if they are doing the rhythm correctly

Free 1 month trial!

With the first month being complimentary, is there a reason not to try these out? You can cancel any time.
