Does This Studio Decor Brighten Your Day?

Thanks to the extremely creative Gretchen Taylor (Cecilly for those of you who follow the Yahoo board), I was inspired to decorate my studio for the summer. Yes I do have decorations, but they’ve been up now for about two years. It was high time to add a little color to the studio!

Gretchen has a talent for calligraphy and she created some beautiful music related signs for her walls. Since I want my students to be inspired to create and explore all summer long, I just came up with a bunch of words that are similar to “create.” I couldn’t believe how many words there were that were related! I only used about half of the words that were possible, typed them in a doc, used different fonts for each, printed them on colored paper, cut out black construction paper for the background and then arranged them.

What kind of things do you use to decorate your studio?

  1. Looks great! The last 4-5 years I’ve been decorating in our theme for the year. I look forward to it. Always good to change things up a bit! 😉

  2. Hi Jennifer,
Decorating isn’t always my thing, so I’d love to see pictures of how you do it with your theme. Can you post links to any pictures you have on your site?
