August Song is early intermediate. The piece is in Bb Major, but all the accidentals are notated in the music allowing the student to more easily become familiar with playing in this key. The piece is in 6/8 meter and the smallest note value is the eighth note. Syncopated pedaling is notated clearly throughout the piece.
