Before you guess, here’s a little history:
In February of 2009, WendysPianoStudio.com was rolled into ComposeCreate.com. We did this because I wanted the focus of the website to be for teaching creativity, teaching creatively, and encouraging students to compose as part of their music lessons. Of course, we still own the WendysPianoStudio domain name, so if you go there, you’ll be taken to ComposeCreate instead. Almost all of the content on the WendysPianoStudio domain was rolled over to ComposeCreate.com plus tons have been added in the meantime, especially as blog articles. If you were a follower of the website back when it was www.WendysPianoStudio.com, I’d love to know in the comments section!
Here’s what we looked like waaaaaayyyy back when (do any of you remember this?):
And then, we revised the look to include some great pictures of the inside of my very first piano after I was married….very old and very heavy but free and beautiful to me!
Besides Fishy Flashcards and Stinky Sox (the first products we sold on the site), the other product that I first began selling on my website was the Listen to Me series, a set of reproducible melodic and rhythmic dictation exercises designed to help students taking the Kansas Music Progressions exams (see the black and white book in the left corner of the next picture). Now, that product has been revised where samples of each level are provided free in the Web Rewards section of this site! You can simply purchase the Answer Key and Checklists in the store.

I was a follower back in the “old” days of Wendy’s Piano Studio. I love the Web Rewards section and all of the creative tips you post! The Leveled Practice tests I purchased have been a great asset to my studio too. I’m guessing your celebrating your 10th year??

I remember following you at Wendy’s Piano Studio – and I remember the Stinky Sox and Fishy Flashcards! Must be at least 10 years ago but hard to believe! Happy Birthday!
I just started coming to your site in the summer and I’m planning on having more opportunities for students to compose this year! I really have no idea….maybe it’s your 12th year? =)
I believe that this is the 13th year of this website – your resources have helped so many students to stick with piano lessons as well as making each lesson more engaging to myself!

I LOVE your site! Thank you for making piano instruction more fun for all of us–teachers and students. I’m going to get crazy and guess this is your 15th anniversary even though I find that difficult to believe.
