Well, it’s finally happened! I spoke of a new look for ComposeCreate.com in several newsletters a few months ago, so hopefully this doesn’t throw anyone off too much.
Everything that was in the previous look is still here. I’ve added a few menu items above so that you can get to things more directly. I’m most excited about the feature slider where I’ll put some of the most useful posts and announcements like the exciting one I’ll be making in August about a brand new, beautiful resource that will improve your students’ rhythm skills with exciting activities!
Here are the most important parts of the site you might wish to visit as a piano teachers:
- Feature Slider – this slider on the homepage will alert you to the most useful posts, announcements, and news.
- Blog – You’ll see all blog content on the homepage underneath the feature slider, OR you can also go to the menu item marked “blog.” You can see categories of posts in the submenus so that you can find content that meets your needs more efficiently.
- Teaching Tab – Mouse over this tab to see a drop down of several teaching areas, including the Teaching Resources menu which includes all of the free music flashcards, manuscript paper, quotes, rhythm drills, and more.
- Students – This area is for my students and your students as well. Here you will find the infamous “Web Rewards” (web activities for levels 1-8 of the Musicianship Exams/Music Progressions).
I hope you like the new look. Please don’t hesitate to give me some feedback. I love to hear from you!

Ooooh I like! Enjoy your month off 😀
