Yesterday, I introduced you to my new Level 1 Solo Irish Celebration. I will be giving away 2 of these pieces this Friday at noon (CST). To enter this giveaway, you can do any of the following:
- Leave a comment on this blog post and let me know how this piece might be useful in your studio.
- Tweet about the giveaway and link back to this post. (Be sure to leave an additional comment on the blog so you get credit for your tweet.)
- Blog about this piece and link back to this post. (Leave a comment about your blog post so you can get credit.)
In addition, I have been known to go ahead and send a few extra pieces out to those that look like they might be able to help me spread the word about the piece (in a teaching organization newsletter, at a teacher’s meeting, or any other ways you can think to help me get the word out). So, please send me an email (in addition to your comment/giveaway entry) if you think you might be able to help me spread the word. I really appreciate those of you who take an interest in my music. As a composer fairly new to the publishing scene, this is of great benefit to me and I am more than happy to send you a free piece for helping me spread the word (until I run out of copies)!

Hi Wendy,
I just received your Easy Hymn Solo books and am loving them! Many of the pieces are flagged for my students, and they will be great for the handful of students who are unable to play in the recital this Sunday (3 broken arms! Darned ice!) who need church performance opportunities. (BTW your Hymn Solos were featured by JW Pepper yesterday in their piano teacher email. Kudos!)
I would love to have another great beginner piece in my repertoire, with one particular student in mind who is just devouring her primer and it would be great to reward her with your Irish Celebration!
Thanks for refreshing, artistic and enjoyable (to teach) arrangements!
Hi Betsy,
Oh thanks so much for letting me know that you love the new Easy Hymn Solos series! That means so much to me. I’m sorry about your student’s broken appendages. That’s pretty incredible that you have 3 broken arms in your studio.
I appreciate your feedback and the news about JWPepper. They told me they would be featuring it, but I hadn’t seen the email yet. Thanks again!
I’ve been giving a lot of my students Irish folk music and they just love it so this would be a good addition to my studio!
This would be a fun piece to use with my young students who are always looking for a pick-me-up special piece to learn 🙂
I’m planning to do an “international” recital next year, where each student plays a piece from a different country or region. This would be a great piece for my beginners! It’s always hard finding theme-specific music for students who haven’t been playing very long.
I think your music is really fun. I am always looking for great, new, accessible pieces for my younger students. Thanks!!
I have several new students this year and would love a new Level 1 solo for our spring recital.
Dear Cristina,
Hi Cristina,
That sounds like a wonderful recital theme. Our local association did something similar and it was a blast! As a matter of fact, it motivated me to make a list of world music for all different levels. You can see the list here:

Sounds like a fun piece. Love your Twister piece.
This piece would be perfect for several of my beginning students who love upbeat songs. I posted about it on my blog at http://heidispianonotes.blogspot.com and mentioned it in the article I wrote highlighting your site for our Pocatello Music Club newsletter this month.
Can’t wait to check out this piece! Thank you for the opportunity to try and win a free copy. I have a studio full of elementary students that would love to try it out!
I would love to have a copy of this! I teach Music for Young Children as well as many elementary level piano students. AND I take Irish step dance lessons (so I’d enjoy teaching it)!
I also plan on doing a world music themed recital in the future. This piece would be great option for beginner students!
I’m so excited to see another piece you have composed. When I saw the preview I got really excited because it looks like a fun catchy tune that the beginners can pick up and enjoy. My studio caters to a big chunk of beginners and it’s nice when I can find pieces like this one that they would enjoy learning and playing.
Plus this is one I can add to our spring recital list as our theme this year is Piano Olympics and students will be playing pieces representing different countries! Yeah!
I would just love to have a copy of your new sheet music….my Arkansas girls (15 of them!) ould love to have the chance to learn and play your music.
This looks like a clever piece, and would be fun for several of my students. Another use for them would be a recital of dance music. By the way I purchased the 3 levels of your hymn arrangements. I love them!
I am just starting a studio and I am so enjoying your blog and creative ideas. I have just ordered all three of your Easy Hymn Solos books and am excited to use them with my students. This piece looks really fun for my beginners.
