New Irish Arrangement!

There’s something about Celtic music that just begs you to listen! It’s either amazingly vibrant and makes you want to dance or it’s amazingly compelling and moves you to tears. A few years ago, I started arranging several Irish hymn tunes or putting familiar tunes in an Irish style. I planned to publish them through my sacred publishers, but their market and reach is pretty small these days so I thought, “Why not bring them direct to my teaching and playing friends?!” [Insert duh moment here.]

So, I present the first of several arrangements in the Irish collection:

Be Thou My Vision

be thou my visionA lot of hymn arrangements sound the same and I’m tired of that. I’ve been bored with predictable hymn arrangements since I was a teenager, so I’ve made it a mission in life to present any hymn tune in a unique setting that will cause listeners to think of the words in a new way.

So I hope that this relaxing yet intricately designed arrangement will leave your listeners in a prayerful mood. Creative, subtle modulations and subtle rhythm shifts will make this fresh for even experienced ears.
