What Level is The Zoomies?
The Zoomies! is a late elementary level solo. The smallest note value is an eighth note. There is no pedal. The piece is rhythmic, shifting between 7/8, compound meter, and common time, with a few measures in 4/8 and even ends in 8/8! It sounds complicated when put in words, but students will get the rhythm quickly, especially with the QR code that they can follow and hear Jason playing the piece.
The piece is in written in C Major, with a brief section in D flat Major indicated by accidentals. Helpful fingerings are included.
Bonuses
With your purchase of the The Zoomies! studio license, you will receive a bonus mp3 recording of the piece performed by Jason Sifford. You are permitted to send this example performance track to your students to help them learn the piece.
Plus, a QR code is included on the first page of the PDF (not pictured in the sample) so students can scan the code and it will take them directly to the performance recording of the piece. Julie –
Every January, I have students create “Goals” that they would like to reach in the new year of piano lessons. One of my students had a goal of “playing a song that has a LOT of time signature changes.” 🤷🏻♀️
I was seriously googling “piano music that has a lot of time signature changes” Then you had the January webinar and there it was…..THE ZOOMIES! Thank you for allowing Ella to meet her 2025 Goal and providing such wonderful music for the students in my studio.
As the owner of a 3 year old Golden Retriever….I can attest the “The Zoomies” accurately portrays Jaxon when he has the Zoomies!!

My 8 year old student loved the Zoomies so much he learned it and played it from memory after ONE WEEK!!!!!
