  1. Irma

This is absolutely beautiful! Best arrangement of ‘Joyful Joyful’ at this level. This is just what I need for my daughter to play for offertory. Thank you so much, Wendy!

  2. Marian

I purchased “Joyful Joyful We Adore Thee” (Ode to Joy) for a student who came to me recently. She is also learning to play violin. She struggles with reading F clef notes. I played this piece for her and she did not stop smiling. I also plan to give the piece to an adult student. She loves playing pieces that are a little more “unusual”, and this contemporary arrangement will suit her well. Beautiful piece!

  3. Karen

As always, Wendy’s arrangement of “Ode to Joy” (Joyful, Joyful) is fresh and new, and easily accessible for the early intermediate student or the hurried church musician (ME!). Looking forward to using this in the Easter season and beyond! Thank you, Wendy! Please keep writing music!

  4. Faithe Ward

Wendy’s Music is my “go to” site when I need something that sounds big for my students. This song is the most beautiful arrangement of Joyful Joyful I’ve ever heard. I bought it for myself lol not my students! Thank you, Wendy, for all the great music!

  5. Kendra Beagles

This arrangement came at a great time for one of my Musikgarten trained students who is taking privately now. Ode to Joy was sang, danced to, and played on the piano many times during her group Musikgarten classes, so when I saw this arrangement, I had to get it for Cady. She is overjoyed to be playing a piece she loves and I am excited that this arrangement will stretch her musically. Wendy, you seem to be on the cutting edge of coming up with the next composition we teachers and our students all need. Thanks♫

  6. Bev

The students are loving this piece! It’s catchy rhythm is very appealing, and they can’t wait to get to the crossover flourish. Keep ’em coming, Wendy.

  7. Elaine Lindbjerg

My students and I love this song. Beautifully written, lovely rhythm and variations make this a lovely but exciting song to play. Thank you for all your great songs, my students have been blessed.

  8. Kim Johnson

Excited to give this piece to my student tomorrow! He will love playing it.

  9. Holly Kukkonen

I love this arrangement so much I want all my early intermediate students to play it! There is enough complexity to keep it interesting and a few twists to keep students on their toes.

  10. Nicole Cornaby

This piece is just lovely! It is a fun twist on a familiar tune and I love how the beautiful simplicity in the beginning builds into something more grand. I also love the optional notes near the end so that if your student is up for more of a challenge, they can add them in; but it sounds just as wonderful if you choose to omit them.

  11. Lori Dawkins

I just purchased this arrangement of “Joyful Joyful” recently, and gave it to a teenage boy, who is playing at the intermediate level. When I played the piece for him, he really liked it – and is looking forward to learning this new, exciting arrangement!

  12. Penny

Beautiful arrangement for either a teacher or a student to play! It sounds full and nice–could work at a recital or even in a church setting.

  13. John

Wendy’s arrangement of “Joyful, Joyful” is a show piece, with beautiful harmonies, effectively used syncopation and final section that is at first triumphant and then serene.

I gave this piece to one of my more diligent students. It was a challenge to her, especially with the syncopations and the left-hand jumps toward the end of the piece.

But she met the challenge, just by sheer desire to learn it and play it. In doing so, she has grown considerably as a piano student. She is close to owning the piece.

How wonderful to have a piece like this for my students — one that calls forth their best!

  14. Ashley

My son loved learning and playing this piece for church, as he loves playing so many of Wendy’s arrangements. These pieces are truly music kids love, and they have helped my son really progress in his piano playing. Thank you so very much, Wendy!

  15. Stephani Austin

This is a wonderful arrangement. Beautiful and engaging. I recorded it and posted it to my Facebook to encourage family and friends during the pandemic and got many compliments.

  16. Julie Kaunitz

I would give 1,000 stars on everything I ordered! (This and the Doxology, Balm in Gilead, Oh the Deep Deep Love of Jesus) and the Early to Mid Intermediate Sacred Bundle.) Thank you Wendy!

  17. Marilyn

This is such a lovely, unique, and heartfelt rendition of this ubiquitous piece.
