Easy Hymn Solos 1
Easy Hymn Solos 1 gives mature sounding hymn arrangements to the early level piano student. This series was created because I was so frustrated as a child at hymn “arrangements” that only had a few chords and melody and nothing very artistic. The Easy Hymn Solos 1 arrangements make any elementary or early intermediate piano student sound mature and accomplished!
What level is Easy Hymn Solos 1?
Easy Hymn Solos 1 is for students in the early elementary to mid elementary level. The smallest note value in the entire book is the quarter note. So there are no difficult eighth notes.
The format of the book contains larger notation so it is easy to read and appears simple.
Articulations are added to each piece so that it can be used as a teaching piece. These articulations also add nuance and beauty and help the piece sound even more mature.
Students do not just play in the middle of the keyboard. They are always in familiar positions like middle C or C position, but they move around to different octaves to help them explore all of the piano, but in an easy and familiar way.
