Something in My Piano

2017-11-14T13:48:17-06:00

Something in My Piano I was sitting at the piano one day, enjoying my new studio in our small, brand new house. I had just finished playing when I glanced down at my feet and saw the most horrific looking, hairy, gigantic spider coming out from under my upright piano! Though I'm not normally outrageously scared of spiders, I screamed and absolutely lost my mind as I jumped on top of the piano bench. The rest of the story is in the program note of this piece, but that explains the inspiration for this rather creepy song! Perfect for beginners, this early elementary piece lets students slap the keys (as if to kill the spider emerging from the keys) and uses easy and fun patterns using the whole keyboard to wow the audience! Details: Level: Early elementary Pages: 5 pages, 3 pages of music, 1 page of my spider story, cover included! Style: Creepy, aggressive (students get to kill the spider on the keys!) I greatly appreciate the accessibility and artistry of this piece for young players! I bought your Amazing Grace for my students taking lessons this summer and they absolutely loved it. The later beginners felt proud they could play something that sounded more difficult than it was, and early intermediates liked it because they could play it well after only a few practices! Thank you for sharing your beautiful arrangement of Amazing Grace! My student sometimes gets bored with pieces and changes them to her liking, but she didn't do this with your arrangement....she plays every [...]

Another supplement to the fun, reproducible rhythm curriculum (Rhythm Menagerie and Rhythm Manipulations, and Rhythm Cup Explorations), Rhythm Cup Exploration Holiday Edition takes advantage of “the cup craze” to re-enforce rhythms you've been teaching all year! Deck the Hall

2017-11-14T14:02:57-06:00

Deck the Hall I get tired of so-called elementary Christmas arrangements that have just the melody divided between the hands or a melody and a few chords or intervals. So here’s an actual arrangement of Deck the Hall that sounds fun, mature, and will make any student feel accomplished! Full of dynamic energy, this arrangement of “Deck the Hall” is complete with not one, not two, but three glissandos (which students can easily play with index cards AND which you can leave out if you want). It’s sure to leave the audience smiling and your student feeling quite pleased with the huge sounds they coax from the piano! Details: Level: Early to mid-elementary - quarter, halves, wholes, sharps, 8va, glissando Pages: 5 pages, 3 pages of music, cover included! Style: Playful, Joking Format: PDF, instant download! Buying options: Studio use license: $8.99 Use for any number of students under your direct instruction.  Best Value! It's like getting an unlimited supply of your favorite music!
