Christy –
“Deck the Hall Hoedown” is an audience hit! I played it for my studio winter recital in 2016. It was such fun! My students didn’t know I was going to play and were cheering and clapping; one of the dad’s started a foot stomp-clap routine. It was beyond anything I had expected. “It Came Upon a Midnight Clear” has never been a favorite carol of mine but as a church musician, it gets sung nearly every Christmas Eve. I am so pleased with this arrangement. It has changed my view of the carol because it is so beautiful and great to play. “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” is a classic and this arrangement will be a classic in your repertoire, too. You cannot go wrong with adding any of these pieces to your Christmas collection.

I played “God Rest You Merry” at a slow tempo for a Longest Night/Blue Christmas service last month. Several listeners said it was just perfect for the occasion. Thank you for the mysterious mood of this setting!
