Your compositions have been so well-received in my studio this fall. I started two 6th graders as beginners and they loved The Bold Escape and Savannah Stalk (actually had people rather arguing over who could play it at recital!) and the lovely View from a Canoe.

  2. Nancy Repass

My students are so excited to play this piece and the others I purchased and are practicing hard which pleases me. This is an exceptional piece and fun to play. I rate it a 5. Thanks for your help in making my students want to practice.

This year, a few of your pieces totally changed the mind of one of my teen students. I have a teenage student who only wanted to play pop music and insisted she didn’t want to learn to read music.

Well, last week, she came in with only View From Canoe, and asked “Can we pause the Erykah Badhu song and just focus on this piece?” So you’re cooler than Erykah Badhu! (I also had a 10-year-old who also wanted to skip her Taylor Swift book in favor of The Mythical Creatures set.)

Soggy sonatina is a gem! And View from the Canoe is my favorite piece of yours.

As an older adult (actually senior!) I am trying to learn your songs mostly by myself, (I have a friend who is a piano teacher that I can ask questions.) and also some beginner lesson books.

I started with Up Sandy Ripple Road and Fairy Dust which I learned fairly easily. I love the slower paced longs that you compose! I am almost finished with Prairie Creek Sunrise and View from the Canoe – both lovely songs.
Your music is different than the other genres, which I usually don’t like. As a senior, I can be picky since I don’t have a teacher that tells me what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!
